The "salary survey" is an important tool that the County uses to see how the salary they pay for a group of classifications compares with other nearby agencies (usually cities or counties). If it gets too low (they told us they are want to be at the median or up to 5% above the median), they may offer an "equity" increase to keep that job family within that range.
