Bargaining Notes 2

County has revised some of their salary surveys Some of the revised surveys show a new "market median" which could result in a higher equity increase for people in the benchmark family of classifications, but other revisions did not change the market median.

MAPE Election 2025

The annual MAPE election has started. This year the voting will only be done online. You can vote online anytime between 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19th through 5 p.m. Thursday, December 4th. You will be prompted to log into your newmape.org website account before accessing the online voting page.

Bargaining Break

October 29, 2025 During a very warm (about 80 degrees) and busy Fall day in which we described issues with the County's salary surveys, three bargaining team members took a break on the cool grass outside the MAPE office.

Reviewing the salary surveys

The "salary survey" is an important tool that the County uses to see how the salary they pay for a classification compares with other nearby agencies (usually cities or counties).

On our first day of bargaining the County gave us their most recent salary surveys for MAPE "benchmark" classifications and a list of the "job families" that are related to each benchmark class.
