Union Leadership/Steward Training July 22nd & 23rd 2026

Union member leaders are key to our success as a union. We are having our two day leadership/steward training on Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23. We will start at 5:30 both evenings with dinner. We will finish at 8:30 p.m. Topics of the training will include:

• The role of a member leader/steward
• The basics of labor history
• MAPE's history
• Labor law that applies to us
• What is collective bargaining? 
• What is a grievance?
• What is an unfair labor practice?
• Organizing
