The annual MAPE election has started. This year the voting will only be done online.
You can vote online anytime between 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19th through 5 p.m. Thursday, December 4th. You will be prompted to log into your newmape.org website account before accessing the online voting page. You were sent an email earlier today which included your username to log into the website along with a link to reset your password (if needed). This email was sent to your personal email address, if we have it on file, otherwise it was sent to your work email address.
As stated in the MAPE Bylaws, every year members vote for Officers and Directors on the MAPE Executive Board. Positions open this year are President, Treasurer, one At-Large Director, and several unit directors. Most positions have two year terms. You can only vote for unit directors in your unit.
Members are also asked about their confidence in the Executive Director annually.
This year some MAPE Executive Board members have also proposed an amendment to our Bylaws to clarify the selection procedure for Negotiating Committee members. Members need to vote on whether to accept this change or not.
