MAPE Vice President Sadegh Nobari, LMFT, provides psychotherapy to children, youth, and their families as a Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner in the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Children’s Mental Health Services department.

Cathy Clary

Secretary
Cathy started working for the County in March of 2007 as an Extra Hire (Contingent Hire) and in 2015 became Secretary of the Board, a steward and has been on each bargaining team since then.

Elizabeth Rodriguez

My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez and I’m an Eligibility Worker III bilingual in HHS. I've been with the County of Marin for 12 years. I work in Grant Maintenance Operations unit doing Calfresh and medical cases. In MAPE, I'm currently Treasurer. I became a MAPE member in 2016.

Blanca Goodman

Director, Bargaining Unit 1
Originally from Mexico, Blanca moved to the USA five years ago. With a degree in industrial administration, she worked in Sonoma County for two years before joining Marin County, where she completed her first year. Blanca is also a certified Community Health Worker from City College of San Francisco, passionate about healthcare equity and community development.

Ralph Lowe

Director, Bargaining Unit 2
Ralph Lowe has worked for the Department of Public Works for seven years. He started as a head plumber and all around jack of all trades, and now holds the responsibility of being the County's one and only locksmith, with more than 50 county buildings to secure. Ralph became a member of MAPE's Executive Board to make a difference for workers like him, and he is glad he did.

Maria Mendoza

Director, Bargaining Unit 3
Maria Mendoza is a bilingual Child Support Officer with the Department of Child Support Services and has been with the department since April 2023. She is a second-generation union member, which helped shape her values and perspective on workers’ rights, union representation and union pride.

Rebecca Esquvel

Director, Bargaining Unit 3
Rebecca has been working in public libraries since her career began in 2012. Since 2024, she has been working for the Marin County Free Library supporting the literacy of children and teens in her community. Rebecca has a steadfast belief that the best way to support the working class is through unions and organization.

Kelsea Lorenz

Director, Bargaining Unit 4

Kelsea has been with the County of Marin for three years and is proud to be part of the union. She believes in showing up for each other, fighting for fairness, and making sure every worker has a voice.

Travis Willey

Director, Bargaining Unit 4
Travis Willey has been a member for close to 7 years. He has worked for the Sheriffs Office since 2017 working in dispatch and in the jail. After realizing the importance of being in the union and wanting to make changes for his coworkers, he became a shop steward. Shortly after, he became a member of the Executive Board.

Elsa Bianca Mata-Powell

Director, Bargaining Unit 10
Elsa has no problem advocating for those in need. Before coming to Marín County, Elsa worked for Whiting’s Foods on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk training students on the importance of excellent customer service and showing them how to connect the dots between their first job and a fruitful career down the road.

Linda Dobra, Sr. RN

Director, Bargaining Unit 13
Linda has been a nurse with HHS for over 20 years and is currently working in the Communicable Disease Prevention and Preparedness Unit. She has been a MAPE member with bargaining unit 13 since the county nurses joined the larger MAPE union. This is her third year on MAPE’s Executive Board.

Rodolfo Mendoza

At-Large Director
Rodolfo Mendoza works as an Employment Development Counselor with Employment and Training. He has been in his current position since September 2022 and was previously an Eligibility Worker with Public Assistance since 2015. Rodolfo has served on MAPE’s Executive Board as a Director At Large, on the Executive Committee, and the Finance Committee.

Oldhina Alatriste

Director, At-Large
Oldhina Alatriste is an Eligibility Worker Bilingual dedicated to advocating for workers' rights and improving conditions in the workplace. With experience as an Office Assistant prior to her current role, Oldhina transitioned to her current position in May last year.

Roland (Rollie) M. Katz

Executive Director

Rollie has been MAPE’s Executive Director since May 2015.  He has worked in the labor movement since January 1979, as an organizer and as an attorney. He has worked for and with unions that represent workers in the public and private sectors.

Esau Hernandez

Esau Hernandez has been a union member for the past 33 years with UFCW, Teamsters, and CWA. He began his career as a warehouse worker at the Safeway Distribution Center in Tracy, Ca. and there he learned the importance of being in a Union member.

Timothy Gonzales

Timothy has been a proud union member the past 36 years. He brings to MAPE vast experience working in the labor movement. He started with the Teamsters union in southeast Texas in the transportation division of UPS.  Over his 24 years, he was an elected shop steward, a business agent, an elected officer, and an International Rep. He moved to the Bay Area in 2007.

Ana Sandoval
