MAPE, which is far and away the largest union of County of Marin employees, represents about 1,300 workers. We represent the vast majority of rank and file County employees. Our membership includes Accountants, office employees, Social Workers, Road Maintenance Workers, Librarians, Deputy Public Defenders, Custodians, Sheriff’s Dispatchers, Sheriff’s Services Assistants, Agricultural Weights and Measures inspectors, child support workers, Eligibility Workers, dentists, Registered Dental Assistants, Event Coordinators, Park Rangers, IT workers, mental health professionals and many more. We represent nearly every Marin County rank and file worker except Deputy Sheriffs, firefighters, Deputy District Attorneys and Probation Officers.

MAPE is the certified bargaining representative of seven bargaining units. They are:
Unit 01 – General Clerical and Related Clerical Technicians Unit
Unit 02 – Trades, Vocational, Custodial Unit
Unit 03 – Public Service and Related Unit
Unit 04 – Technical Services, Regulatory and Related Unit
Unit 10 – Health and Human Service Workers Unit
Unit 13 – Nurses Unit
Unit 16 – Public Defender Attorneys
